Here is a portion of a quilt I am making for my beloved aunt. She loves to cook and garden and these prints from Kaffe Fassett bring those loves together in this quilt. I have been collecting fun buttons to "tie" the quilt together - I will post another picture once it is completed!

I have made two more "Hearts Quilts" for people this winter. They are fun to make and a favourite of kids and teens! I hope to make some more this spring using bright colours again and some homespun fabrics.

SHANTIKNITS
I will be adding a few "Shantiknits" items to this blog over the next few weeks.... sweaters, felted bags, hats and mittens.
This felted bag is made from Icelandic wool - very soft and fuzzy. The colours are rich and warm and the strap easily adjustable. If you are interested in purchasing this terrific bag, you can find it at www.shantiquilts.etsy.com.

Here is a super-soft and pretty lap sized quilt made out of flannel. My son's class held a raffle for it to raise money for their upcoming trip to the Outdoor Education Centre. I would be happy to make another one!

This wild and wonderful quilt was made using fabrics and a pattern from Kaffe Fassett's brilliant work. The colours are vibrant, joyful and playful. What a wonderful project this was to work on!

I had a fun time creating this quilt for a friend. She saked for lots of red with a little white thrown in - just the thing to brighten and warm a room up on a cold or damp winter day!
